- Hollowcore
- Prestressed floor slab with longitudinal voids that cut weight without losing span.
- Demoulding
- Releasing a cured element from its form — the point where cycle time is won or lost.
- Haunch
- The thickened corner between a culvert's wall and slab, where shear is highest.
- Grade ring
- A shallow ring stacked under a cover to bring a structure up to finished road level.
- Prestressing
- Tensioning strand before the pour so the element resists tension once released.
- Self-consolidating
- A mix fluid enough to fill congested reinforcement without vibration.
- Wet cast
- Higher-slump concrete cast in a form and left to cure before stripping.
- Dry cast
- Zero-slump concrete compacted and stripped immediately, used for pipe and rings.
